Job Title
Career Accelerator Program - Mixed Signal Verification and Digital Design Engineer
Role Summary
Entry-level engineering role within the Current Sensing product line focused on mixed-signal current sensing ICs. Participate in the full IC development lifecycle including verification, RTL/design tasks, tapeout and bring-up while rotating through TI's Career Accelerator Program for structured technical and professional training.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early career (Career Accelerator Program for new graduates). Suitable for recent Master's graduates or equivalent early-career engineers.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include verification and design activities across digital and mixed-signal domains.
- Develop and implement verification methodologies and automated testbenches for mixed-signal ICs using digital and AMS stimulus and checkers.
- Create and run tests and simulations at RTL and gate levels using SystemVerilog, VHDL, and UVM environments.
- Contribute to RTL design, synthesis, place-and-route flow, scan pattern generation, and timing analysis.
- Collaborate with design and system teams to define DFV architectures, triage bugs, and support first-pass silicon success.
- Drive verification coverage, track progress, and report status, issues, and risks.
- Develop tools, scripts, and processes to improve DV automation and efficiency.
Requirements
Core technical skills and experience expected for successful performance.
-
Must-have: Experience or coursework with SystemVerilog, VHDL, RTL concepts, and verification methodologies (UVM or similar); strong debugging skills for digital/mixed-signal designs; familiarity with testbench development and simulation flows.
-
Must-have: Knowledge of synthesis, timing analysis, and basic digital design concepts such as FSMs, synchronization, and power domains.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with mixed-signal verification flows, analog block modeling, Gates+SDF timing, and analysis across analog/digital boundaries.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with automation, DV tooling, and developing scalable verification infrastructure.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Education Requirements
Master's degree required in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher expected. (No equivalent-experience language specified.)
