Career Accelerator Program - Manufacturing Product Engineer

Role Summary

Entry-level manufacturing product engineer in TI's 12-month Career Accelerator Program (TMG Development). The role supports product introduction and production engineering for semiconductor test and wafer probe.

The engineer will work with design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing teams to resolve production issues, improve yields, and manage new product introductions and tool qualifications.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” new college graduates; target 0–1 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include production support, yield and productivity improvements, and new product release activities.

  • Support daily production issues on the test floor and at wafer probe: low-yield analysis, disposition, and setup failure debug/analysis (hardware and software).
  • Perform detailed analytical studies and coordinate corrective actions with product engineering (test programs, hardware, setup).
  • Lead or contribute to productivity and yield-improvement projects, including test time reduction, test insertion/removal, and legacy tester conversion.
  • Support new product releases by performing rigorous buyoff of new test systems (program/hardware) to meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Manage qualification and change-management approval for new tools, equipment, and test processes within TI Electronic Marketing (TIEM).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or a related field. Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher is required.
