Career Accelerator Program - Digital Design Engineer (MS/PhD)
Role Summary
This is an early-career position in Texas Instruments' Career Accelerator Program (CAP). You will design, model, and verify digital IC circuits and processor subsystems (including 64-bit DSP processor, MMU, multicore shared memory and cache systems) to meet performance, power, cost, and schedule targets. The role involves collaboration with system engineering, business teams and cross-functional partners to bring products from architecture to production.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early-career β program targeted at recent MS or PhD graduates.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Define, design, model and verify digital circuits and processor architectures.
- Provide high-level analysis of chip architecture trade-offs to meet specifications and cost targets.
- Partner with business teams and system engineering to develop and agree on design specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and produce necessary design and product documentation.
- Supervise IC layouts to ensure high-performance implementation standards.
- Characterize prototypes and develop test specifications; coordinate with test/product engineering for releases.
- Develop behavioral models and contribute to CPU simulator, ISA and verification efforts.
- Gain exposure to related functions (design verification, analog design) through formal learning and on-the-job projects.

Education Requirements
Minimum: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field; cumulative GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher. Position title indicates MS or PhD candidates are targeted (MS/PhD).
