Career Accelerator Program - Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

This entry-level role participates in Texas Instruments' Career Accelerator Program (CAP), receiving structured technical and professional training while contributing to digital design verification work for semiconductor products.

The engineer will work with design and system teams to develop verification plans, create and run RTL/GLS simulations and regressions, and contribute to verification strategy, tools, and flow improvements.

Experience Level

Entry-level (new graduates). This role is designed for recent bachelor's degree recipients; no specific years of prior industry experience required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities and collaborating with design teams to ensure first-pass silicon success.

  • Develop detailed verification plans in coordination with design and system teams.
  • Create test benches, test cases, and run simulations at RTL and gate-level simulations (GLS).
  • Run coverage regressions and iterate to meet defined coverage goals.
  • Track and communicate verification status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Use regression tools and develop scripts to submit and manage regression runs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of DV strategies, tools, methods, and flows.
  • Participate in cross-functional learning opportunities (e.g., exposure to digital and analog design) as part of CAP.

Requirements

  • Technical familiarity (preferred): Basics of digital verification concepts, RTL simulation, coverage-driven verification, and scripting for regression automation.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior exposure to verification tools, testbench development, and experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
