Camera DV Engineer
QualcommJob Title
Camera DV Engineer
Role Summary
Work on verification of camera/imaging pipelines and algorithms for mobile, automotive, XR, IoT and compute products. Collaborate with design, software, and firmware teams to define verification plans and ensure functional, power and performance KPIs are met.
This role sits in ASICs/Design Verification within the Engineering Group and focuses on building scalable verification infrastructure and tests for camera subsystems.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Specific years of experience not specified in the posting.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include verification planning, infrastructure development, and cross-team technical collaboration.
- Define and implement verification plans and scalable, parameterized testbenches using OOP and UVM methodologies.
- Develop directed and constrained-random stimulus, complex constraints, and sequences to exercise corner-case algorithm and pipeline scenarios.
- Run simulation, formal, assertion, and emulation flows to close functional and code coverage.
- Verify functionality and validate power/performance KPIs against use cases.
- Debug complex issues across multiple verification platforms and RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog).
- Write clear technical documentation and feature descriptions to guide internal teams and stakeholders.
- Design and implement AI-driven workflows to improve verification productivity.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- Experience in design verification: defining test plans and developing verification infrastructure to achieve closure metrics.
- Proficiency with hardware verification languages and methodologies, e.g., SystemVerilog testbenches and OVM/UVM.
- Experience creating directed and constrained-random stimulus.
- Strong digital design fundamentals and RTL debugging skills (Verilog/SystemVerilog).
- Familiarity with simulation, formal methods, assertion-based verification, and emulation flows.
- Ability to write technical documentation and communicate across design/software/firmware teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science) required.
