Role Summary
Provide technical sales, solution proposals, and service engagements for Siemens EDA's Calibre semiconductor physical verification products. Serve as the primary technical contact for customers in Japan and act as a bridge between customers and the worldwide consulting and development teams.
Role includes on-site customer work, managing deliveries from internal teams, and gathering customer feedback to improve services. Position is hybrid based at the Shinagawa office (Tokyo) with domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include customer-facing technical delivery and solution work for Calibre products.
- Perform sales engineering, technical delivery, and service engagements for Calibre physical verification tools.
- Propose and implement product solutions tailored to customer needs and design challenges.
- Act as liaison between customers and worldwide consulting/development teams; manage deliveries from other team members.
- Collect and relay customer feedback to improve product and service offerings.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and set/manage customer expectations.
- Travel domestically and internationally to customer sites as required.
Requirements
Must-have technical and interpersonal skills for successful performance.
- Practical experience in at least one of: layout design, design enablement, resolution enhancement technologies, or design-technology co-optimization.
- Ability to communicate and produce technical documents in both Japanese and English; comfortable reading and writing technical English (email communication with overseas development teams).
- Proficiency in TCL and Python scripting in a Linux environment.
- Able to travel for domestic and international customer visits.
- Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating deliveries from cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Analog design or digital implementation experience; knowledge of digital implementation flows.
- Design-for-test knowledge.
- Technical sales or support experience at an EDA vendor or agency.
- Knowledge of advanced process technologies.
- Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N1 level (explicitly requested in posting).
Education Requirements
