Job Title

Calibre DRC QA Engineer

Role Summary

Join the Calibre DRC product team to plan and execute software quality assurance across the full release cycle for high-capacity EDA tools used in integrated circuit design.

You will work with cross-functional engineering, QA, and support teams to validate releases, improve test coverage, and help ensure product robustness and performance.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting indicates a 3–5 year experience range is preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibility is to design and run tests that verify correctness, robustness, and performance of Calibre DRC software releases.

  • Design, develop, and execute functional and regression tests.
  • Debug issues, qualify releases, and document test results and regression reports for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, QA specialists, project engineers, and customer support to deliver timely product updates.
  • Create procedures and tools to improve QA processes and support developers in risk analysis and design trade-offs.
  • Maintain and improve automated regression suites and test infrastructure.
  • Participate in continuous learning to broaden product and technical skills.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Experience working in a Linux environment.
  • Familiarity with software quality assurance processes and test development.
  • Strong analysis, design, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a multi-site, fast-paced development environment.

Nice-to-have / preferred:

  • Exposure to EDA verification tools such as Calibre DRC.
  • Experience with C++ and Calibre SVRF.
  • Experience with VLSI design or layout tools.
  • Knowledge of Python and Perl.
  • Experience maintaining regression test suites and test automation.

Education Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (as stated in the posting).
