Cadet Engineer
Role Summary
As a Cadet Engineer in Development Product Engineering, you will support product engineers in test execution, data collection, lab maintenance, and basic troubleshooting for IC products and evaluation boards.
This is an entry-level role with structured mentorship and hands-on training to develop test and characterization skills.
Experience Level
Entry-level - open to fresh graduates; relevant internships or academic project experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
You will assist the development product engineering team with testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Execute test plans and perform basic electrical tests using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and function generators.
- Collect, organize, and present test data for engineering review and analysis.
- Support setup, calibration, and maintenance of lab equipment and test benches.
- Assist engineers with troubleshooting and debugging of test setups and hardware.
- Maintain detailed test records and help draft/update test instructions and procedures.
- Participate in training and mentorship; learn to interpret circuit diagrams, datasheets, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Test engineers to ensure smooth execution of tasks.
Requirements
Must-have technical and professional skills for the role.
- Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles and circuit theory.
- Basic knowledge of semiconductor devices and their operation.
- Ability to operate standard lab equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, power supplies).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with programming or data-analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW) is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.
- Good written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and in a team.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Communications Engineering (BS ECE) is required. The posting is open to fresh graduates; relevant internships or academic project experience are considered a plus.
