CAD Staff Engineer / Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Memory Design Group to develop, integrate, and support EDA tools and verification flows for CMOS memory designs. The role focuses on production support, flow development and optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with design, layout, verification, and process teams.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 8+ years of relevant verification engineering experience, including over 3 years in digital, analog, or mixed-signal verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing and supporting tools, flows, and methodologies to improve design productivity, quality, and time-to-market.
- Develop tools, flows, and methodologies to increase productivity and reliability of memory designs.
- Integrate commercial EDA tools into design flows and maintain engineering infrastructure.
- Provide training, documentation, and technical support to end users.
- Collaborate with design, layout, verification, and process teams to resolve issues and define improved flows.
- Track, debug, and resolve tool and flow deficiencies.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.
- 8+ years verification engineering experience, with over 3 years in digital (Verilog), analog (FastSpice), or mixed-signal verification (co-sims or real number modeling).
- Strong programming fundamentals; experience with Unix and shell scripting.
- Experience with simulation tools and languages: Verilog, VCS, Spice/FastSpice, FineSim/PrimeSim, HSPICE.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with RTL-to-GDS flows.
- Experience with Python.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required. A Master’s in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
