Role Summary

Join the Centralized Service of Downloads (CSD) team within CAD R&D Engineering to support and automate foundry technology data distribution used across IP development projects. The role focuses on scripting and process automation to ensure timely, reliable installation of technical data for engineering teams.

Experience Level

Internship - entry-level position intended for students.

Responsibilities

Support the CSD team in managing data download processes and automating engineering workflows.

• Support centralized control and management of foundry technology data download processes.
• Assist with provision and installation of technical data for IP development projects.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and automation utilities to improve operational efficiency.
• Automate processes using Python and/or Perl scripts.
• Troubleshoot issues with engineering teams and contribute to continuous process improvements.
• Follow best practices for UNIX/Linux-based engineering environments.

Requirements

Core technical skills and professional attributes required for successful performance.

• Must-have: Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Must-have: Familiarity with Shell scripting.
• Must-have: Basic scripting experience with Python and/or Perl for automation.
• Must-have: Basic knowledge of VLSI technology, including CMOS fundamentals and analog circuit concepts.
• Good command of English and effective presentation skills.
• Strong self-learning ability, accountability, patience, and a hardworking attitude.
• Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and as part of a team.

Education Requirements

Currently studying in the 3rd or final year of a relevant technical degree such as Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Mechatronics, Automation & Control, Computer Science, or a related field (student status required for the internship).
