Development and production-support role focused on semiconductor EDA design flows and tools for CMOS integrated-circuit design, layout, and verification. Responsibilities

Work across CAD software engineering and tool support to enable IC design and verification teams.

• Act as a subject-matter expert within CAD/electronic design.
• Define, lead, and deliver large technical projects related to CAD flows and tools.
• Evaluate, develop, improve, and debug in-house and commercial EDA tools and design flows.
• Guide and implement ML/AI techniques on CAD flows.
• Provide training, documentation, and support for end-users on new tools and methods.
• Collaborate closely with design and process teams to integrate tools and flows.
• Design and implement CAD software solutions; assess architecture and hardware limitations and deploy CAD applications.

Requirements

Core technical skills and practical experience required or strongly preferred.

• Expertise with IC design CAD tools (schematics, layout, simulation, and verification).
• Strong programming fundamentals and software engineering practice.
• Experience with EDA software for analog/digital verification flows, parasitic extraction flows, and design database/versioning systems.
• Exposure to CMOS circuit design and implementation, including area, speed, and power tradeoffs.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.

Nice-to-have

• In-depth SKILL and Python experience; recent proven experience in C/C++, Visual Basic, Perl, or Lisp also considered.
• Unix experience and shell scripting.
• Experience with RTL-to-GDS workflows and EDA tools such as Fusion Compiler, Innovus, PrimeTime, Formality, RedHawk-SC, SpyGlass.
• Experience applying AI/LLM or agentic AI techniques to CAD flows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; Master's or PhD preferred in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. The posting also references coursework or relevant experience in VLSI circuit design and software.
