Job Title

Bluetooth PHY System Student

Role Summary

Join the PHY-systems team working on Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi physical-layer system design and validation. The role supports pre- and post-silicon system activities including RFIC architecture considerations, calibration algorithms, system performance analysis, and integration of digital compensation techniques.

This is a hands-on student internship working on multidisciplinary issues across hardware, firmware/software and RF domains in close collaboration with development teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level student internship (M.Sc. student level). Suitable for candidates currently enrolled in a master's program with remaining semesters before graduation.

Responsibilities

Key technical and integration tasks expected from the role:

  • Develop and integrate radio features including calibration flows and digital compensation algorithms.
  • Support RFIC architecture trade-offs and system-level performance evaluations (pre- and post-silicon).
  • Diagnose and resolve multidisciplinary issues involving HW, SW, RF and modem components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to validate and optimize system behavior.
  • Perform lab testing and data analysis to verify calibration and compensation approaches.

Requirements

Qualifications and practical skills expected for success in this role.

  • Must: Availability to work on-site at least 3 days per week.
  • Must: Strong knowledge of communication systems: modulation schemes, modem concepts, RFIC impairments, and link-budget analysis.
  • Must: Hands-on technical aptitude and ability to execute in ambiguous environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in engineering work systems (hardware or software).
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with RF/hardware lab work and measurement equipment.

Education Requirements

Required: Enrolled M.Sc. student in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Minimum of three semesters remaining until graduation.
