Entry-level; 0+ years of relevant experience in product development, ATE test, silicon validation, characterization, bench validation, or production test.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing test solutions, characterizing silicon, and enabling production readiness for automotive semiconductor products.
- Develop and execute ATE hardware/software test solutions and perform hands-on ATE testing.
- Perform PVT characterization, system correlation, and bench validation of silicon.
- Analyze test data to identify yield, quality, and test-time improvements.
- Develop manufacturing and high-volume production test solutions for NPI.
- Evaluate reliability, materials, and test methodologies; implement automation and optimization.
- Assess complex design features, perform schematic review and debug.
- Write detailed technical documentation and communicate results to cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience (academic, internship, or entry-level experience accepted unless noted):
- Hands-on experience with automated test programs, validation, or production test workflows.
- Experience in silicon validation, characterization, bench validation, or production test for semiconductor products.
- Proficiency with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java, Assembly, C#/.NET, embedded software).
- Experience using lab measurement instruments (oscilloscope, signal generator, logic analyzer, spectrum/network analyzer, power supplies).
- Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize test data to support engineering decisions.
- Effective verbal and written communication; ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with ATE platforms (Advantest V93000/93K, Teradyne) and AI/ML data analytics for test data.
- Exposure to SoC products, digital design, VLSI concepts, CPU architecture, and SoC test methodologies.
- Knowledge of structural test methodologies (Scan/ATPG, JTAG, memory BIST), memory interfaces, and high-speed SerDes testing.
- Experience with mixed-signal measurements (ADC, DAC, PLL, LDO) and sensor validation.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (JMP, NI tools, Exensio, Python data libraries, Excel) and embedded/OS environments (ARM, microcontrollers, Linux, RTOS).
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field. Preferred: Master's degree in those fields. The posting also accepts academic, internship, or practical experience in ATE, silicon validation, characterization, or product engineering.
