ATE Test Development Engineer
Role Summary
Design and develop ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) test programs and test hardware for high-speed, high-power networking switch ASICs. The role supports product bring-up from design to manufacturing and collaborates with product, design, and production teams.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on test program and hardware development, debugging, and production release.
- Develop ATE test programs for high-speed (SERDES >100G) and high-power networking switch ASICs.
- Drive test hardware development for final test and probe; coordinate with PCB, probe, and socket vendors.
- Debug and bring up test hardware on ATE platforms.
- Optimize test programs for reduced test time and improved yield without compromising product quality.
- Collaborate closely with Product Engineers, Design Engineers, and production teams to release and support test programs.
- Support production release activities and work with offshore production teams for program transfer and issue resolution.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience for immediate contribution.
- Hands-on experience with Teradyne UltraFlex tester platforms.
- Proven ability to independently develop complex test flows that validate chip performance and power consumption.
- Debugging and troubleshooting of failure mechanisms in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience performing volume data analysis and correlating failures to system-level issues; proficiency with data analysis tools or languages.
- Programming experience for developing test methods and automation.
- Understanding of test hardware impact on chip behavior and experience working with hardware development teams.
- Experience with extreme temperature testing of ASICs on ATE.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted scripting tools is a plus.
Education Requirements
