Associate Test Engineer (SWIFT/Altair)
Role Summary
Perform hands-on setup, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components and assemblies for SWIFT/Altair semiconductor test systems. Work within the manufacturing/test engineering team to validate hardware, develop test methods, and produce technical reports that drive problem resolution.
Experience Level
Entry-level. The role welcomes new graduates and technicians; candidates with roughly 0–3 years of relevant experience are appropriate, with ~1 year of technical or practical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Core duties include test execution, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Set up, calibrate, test and troubleshoot circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
- Determine and develop test specifications, methods and procedures from drawings and diagrams.
- Test assemblies and final systems; perform rework resulting from test findings.
- Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommended solutions.
- Assist in selection and setup of specialized test equipment.
- Work independently on complex assignments and, when needed, supervise nonexempt personnel.

- Must-have: Ability to read detailed drawings, use mathematics and handbook formulas, and operate precision testing and measuring instruments.
- Must-have: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for resolving technical problems and performing data analysis.
- Must-have: Good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Must-have: Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, be stationed in a cleanroom environment, and support overtime as required.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with optics and testing of digital and/or analog systems (1–3 years advantageous).
- Nice-to-have: Prior hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, or Technical School certification; the employer accepts equivalent practical work experience (source references a minimum of ~1 year of technical/work experience). Fields listed generically as engineering or related technical disciplines.
