Associate Test Engineer

Role Summary

The Associate Test Engineer supports test and qualification activities for high-performance mixed-signal networking integrated circuits at Semtech's Burlington site. The role performs data analysis, lab testing, documentation for new product introduction (NPI), and collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve yield and product compliance.

This is an entry-level role focused on learning test methodologies, using lab equipment and ATE, and supporting transfer of products to production.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test characterization, data analysis, and supporting product release and manufacturing readiness.

  • Analyze ATE and lab data for mixed-signal ICs to assess device performance.
  • Optimize test coverage, limits, and guard banding using engineering best practices.
  • Use lab equipment to measure device performance across process, voltage, and temperature.
  • Collect and analyze data to verify specifications and manufacturability before production release.
  • Support NPI processes, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase yield and quality.
  • Prepare clear reports and presentations that correlate process variables with device performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality) to resolve issues.
