Associate System Integration Engineer

Role Summary

Integrate hardware, software, firmware, and system-level components into validated products. Work on prototype bring-up, system testing, validation, and product release as part of multidisciplinary engineering teams.

This entry-level role is hands-on and focuses on solving integration and validation challenges across the product lifecycle.

Experience Level

Entry-level (0–2 years of relevant experience).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include system integration, validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Integrate and validate hardware, firmware, and software components.
• Perform system testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Develop and execute test plans, validation procedures, and verification activities.
• Support prototype bring-up and performance evaluation.
• Analyze test data and system behavior; recommend improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and integration procedures.
• Present status, findings, and recommendations to project stakeholders.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance product quality and engineering efficiency.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, manufacturing, product, and applications teams.
• Travel as required (approximately 10%).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and capabilities; preferred items are noted.

• Understanding of engineering fundamentals in hardware, software, embedded systems, communications, or system-level design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing, debugging, validation, or system evaluation (via coursework, projects, internships, or work experience).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, specifications, schematics, and test results.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Nice-to-have: experience with programming or scripting (Python, C/C++, MATLAB) and test automation or data-analysis tools.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with communications protocols, networking, wireless systems, cloud-connected devices, or IoT.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience through projects, internships, or work assignments is acceptable.
