Job Title

Associate Engineering Intern, Tapeout Integration (Diploma)

Role Summary

Support end-to-end tapeout execution from design to silicon to help ensure first-time quality and prototype success. Work within the Tapeout Integration team and coordinate with Fab and Design-to-Mask stakeholders to maintain tapeout infrastructure, specifications, and process improvements.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship (student intern). No prior years-of-experience required; suitable for current diploma students.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include managing tapeout activities and coordinating across teams.

  • Execute and track end-to-end tapeout workflows from design handoff to silicon delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (Fab, Design-to-Mask, and support groups) to meet tapeout schedules and requirements.
  • Maintain tapeout infrastructure, documentation, and specifications.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement and technology enablement for tapeout processes.
  • Follow Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements in all activities.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications for candidates.

  • Must-have: Availability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
  • Nice-to-have: prior internship or co-op experience; leadership or project experience; project management and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication; planning and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Python, or other data analytics tools.

Education Requirements

Actively pursuing a Diploma in Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related field through an accredited program during the internship period. Candidates should be in good academic standing.
