Associate Engineer, Test Engineering - Product Development

Role Summary

Design and implement test methods, develop test programs and fixtures, and support test setups and troubleshooting across product development and manufacturing. Collaborate with experienced engineers to ensure products meet quality and performance specifications.

Experience Level

Entry-level; 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Contribute to test engineering activities across development and production phases.

  • Design and implement cost-effective testing methodologies for validating system and device performance.
  • Assist in preparing test and diagnostic programs to evaluate product functionality and performance metrics.
  • Support design and fabrication of test fixtures and evaluation equipment.
  • Define test setups that apply required stresses for standards and qualification testing.
  • Participate in troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues during product development.
  • Document and maintain clear test procedures and specifications for new products.
  • Estimate and assist planning of labor, schedules, and equipment allocation for testing activities.
  • Contribute to PCB design for test setups and evaluation boards.
  • Support adherence to quality standards in test processes.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Ability to create structured test cases that validate product functionality against specifications.
  • Basic understanding of diagnostic testing methodologies to identify defects and performance issues.
  • Fundamental knowledge of designing simple test fixtures and test equipment.
  • Ability to document clear, repeatable testing procedures.
  • Basic skills in estimating resource needs for testing activities.
  • Analytical troubleshooting skills for technical problem solving.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance concepts and qualification testing.
  • Fundamental PCB design knowledge for test applications.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred. The posting also specifies 0–2 years of experience in test engineering or a related field as preferred.
