Associate Engineer, Test Development
Role Summary
Support test development and optimization for semiconductor products using automated test equipment (ATE). Work on test program development, bring-up, debugging, data analysis, and yield improvement from first-silicon validation through production release.
Collaborate with product teams across multiple product groups and receive mentoring and structured on-the-job training.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Associate. Fresh graduates welcome; no prior full-time experience required. Suitable for candidates with 0+ years of practical or internship experience.
Responsibilities
Contribute to ATE test development, validation, and production support.
- Create and update ATE test solutions and review hardware schematics (approx. 30%).
- Support NPI bring-up, test program debugging, and initial product validation & characterization (approx. 20%).
- Gather and analyze test data to identify failure modes, trends, and optimization opportunities (approx. 15%).
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot test hardware on ATE (approx. 15%).
- Document test procedures, specifications, and produce technical reports on coverage and correlation (approx. 10%).
- Collaborate on yield improvement and test-time reduction across product groups (approx. 10%).
Requirements
Core technical skills and personal abilities required for the role.
- Good understanding of electronics fundamentals and circuit analysis.
- Intermediate exposure to programming (C/C++, Python, or similar) and familiarity with Unix/Linux.
- Practical use of electronics equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and signal generators.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Good English communication skills and ability to work in a global team.
- Willingness to learn and accept mentorship; ability to work on hands-on lab tasks.
- Nice-to-have: scripting for test automation, experience reading schematics and basic PCB layout.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is listed as the minimum. The posting also accepts equivalent practical experience and explicitly welcomes fresh graduates. Relevant coursework in digital/analog design, testing, or measurement systems is desirable.
