Role Summary
Provide engineering support for semiconductor manufacturing and test operations to sustain products, improve yield and quality, and enable new product releases and transfers. Work with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional global teams to resolve technical issues and maintain production performance.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Associate). No specific years of experience stated; suitable for early-career engineers.
Responsibilities
Primary duties focus on production support, test engineering, and continuous improvement:
- Provide manufacturing support and product-sustaining activities to address test- and product-related issues.
- Drive yield improvement and cost reduction through test time reduction and process optimization.
- Perform material disposition and manufacturing control hit validation.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing and test data to monitor product performance and reliability.
- Support new product releases and transfers by ensuring release requirements are met with Manufacturing and Quality teams.
- Assist failure analysis and root-cause investigations; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide engineering support for LTX and other automated test platforms and bench equipment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives targeting Yield, Hold/Delivery performance, OEE, ROQ, and YRR metrics.
- Collaborate with global teams to resolve technical issues and support business objectives.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes, automated test equipment (ATE), and bench equipment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-interpretation skills.
- Proficient in gathering and organizing technical information from multiple sources.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to contribute in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work a shifting schedule to support manufacturing operations.
- Preferred: experience with failure analysis, test automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
