Associate Engineer, Product Engineering (Mfg.)

Role Summary

Entry-level product/test engineer supporting manufacturing operations for analog/mixed-signal semiconductor products. The role focuses on sustaining manufacturing, test yields, product performance monitoring, and supporting new product releases across cross-functional teams.

The position works within product engineering and manufacturing teams to investigate failures, validate manufacturing control processes, and implement cost- and time-reduction improvements.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Graduate position. Suitable for recent graduates or engineers with limited professional experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include manufacturing support, test and product performance activities, and cross-functional coordination for product releases.

  • Provide manufacturing support and sustaining activities to resolve production issues and maintain operations.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives (yield improvements, test time reductions).
  • Handle material disposition and ensure accurate material flow and documentation.
  • Perform manufacturing control hit validation and ensure correct disposition/handling of materials.
  • Monitor product performance by collecting and analyzing production and test data.
  • Support new product releases by coordinating with manufacturing, quality, and other cross-functional teams to meet release requirements and timelines.
  • Provide failure analysis support: investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Proficient at compiling, organizing, and presenting printed and electronic information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision when given guidance.
  • Willingness to work a shifting schedule to meet operational needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, multi-functional team environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with semiconductor test equipment and bench tools is an advantage (preferred, not required).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (Graduate) in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is specified.
