Associate Engineer, Product Engineering (Manufacturing)

Role Summary

Entry-level engineering role supporting manufacturing and product test operations for analog semiconductor products. The role provides sustaining support, drives cost and yield improvements, and coordinates new product releases with cross-functional teams.

Works within global manufacturing and quality teams to resolve product issues, validate manufacturing controls, and support failure analysis.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Graduate (suitable for recent graduates). Typical experience: 0–3 years.

Responsibilities

Primary duties focus on ensuring smooth manufacturing and test operations and improving cost and quality metrics.

  • Provide manufacturing support and sustaining activities to resolve production issues.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities (yield improvements, test-time reductions).
  • Handle material disposition and perform manufacturing control hit validation.
  • Collect and analyze product performance data to monitor and improve quality.
  • Support new product releases by coordinating requirements and timelines with manufacturing and QA teams.
  • Provide failure analysis support to investigate and resolve product/test issues.

Requirements

  • Proficient at compiling, organizing, and presenting printed and electronic information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision when provided guidance.
  • Willingness to work a shifting schedule to meet operational needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team; strong planning and prioritization skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with semiconductor test and/or bench equipment.

Education Requirements

Graduate of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (degree or equivalent). New graduates are expressly considered.
