Role Summary

Entry-level hardware engineer working on SoC subsystems including modem, multimedia, connectivity, computer vision, image processing, and hardware acceleration. The role involves implementing and verifying RTL and related software, performing technical analysis, and contributing to product delivery across hardware and software domains.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Campus hire (new graduate).

Responsibilities

Work on design, implementation, verification, and validation tasks for SoC subsystems and related hardware/software integration.

  • Implement and verify SoC blocks and hardware-accelerated functions (RTL and firmware/software integration).
  • Develop, debug and optimize C/C++ or RTL code; use scripting for automation (Tcl/Perl/shell).
  • Perform detailed technical analysis and translate concepts into models, software, or hardware implementations.
  • Participate in SoC validation, debug, board and FPGA bring-up activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, verification, CAD, system teams) to deliver product features.
  • Contribute to testing, documentation and problem resolution during development cycles.

Requirements

Core technical skills and team-oriented professional skills expected for successful performance.

  • Must-have: Practical experience or coursework with Verilog or VHDL and C/C++.
  • RTL design experience or strong object-oriented programming knowledge.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for automation (Tcl, Perl, shell).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in teams and communicate clearly.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of wireless/wired communications protocols, graphics/video multimedia, or prior exposure to SoC subsystems (modem, connectivity, multimedia).
  • For RF/analog-focused roles: familiarity with PLL, LNA, OpAmp, CMOS, ADC/DAC concepts and tools such as Cadence/SpectreRF and layout workflows.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Associate's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Engineering or a related field. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Engineering or related field. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
