Associate Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Entry-level verification engineer responsible for developing test benches and performing design verification for digital, analog, and mixed-signal products prior to tape-out. Works on a verification team under close guidance from senior engineers.

Experience Level

Entry-level. 0–2 years of relevant experience; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

Work on verification tasks for mixed-signal products and support verification planning and documentation.

  • Develop and execute basic test benches for mixed-signal verification
  • Create and maintain test environments using SystemVerilog and UVM
  • Perform code coverage analysis and track coverage metrics
  • Debug simulation failures and waveform data
  • Collaborate with design teams to understand requirements and identify issues
  • Document verification plans, processes, and results

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and capabilities for day-to-day verification work.

  • SystemVerilog and UVM: basic proficiency in creating and maintaining verification environments
  • Scripting: basic knowledge of Python, Perl, or Tcl for automation
  • Verilog RTL: fundamental understanding of RTL design concepts
  • Digital interfaces: basic familiarity with I2C, SPI, UART protocols
  • Simulation tools: familiarity with simulation environments and waveform debugging
  • Problem solving: ability to work on problems of limited scope and complexity
  • Communication: clear written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration
  • Travel: ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred; equivalent practical experience is acceptable. Role targets candidates with 0–2 years of experience and new graduates.
