Associate Design Evaluation Engineer

Role Summary

The Associate Design Evaluation Engineer performs evaluation, characterization, and validation of semiconductor products throughout the development lifecycle under the guidance of experienced engineers. The role focuses on bench testing, measurement analysis, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration to verify product performance and quality.

Position may require travel for customer or lab support (approximately 10% of the time).

Experience Level

Entry-level. Typical experience: 0–2 years. New graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assist in device evaluation, characterization, and validation using standard test methods and laboratory equipment.
  • Collect, analyze, and document measurement data to support engineering decisions.
  • Support debugging and root-cause analysis of product functionality and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with Design, Test, Applications, and Product Engineering teams to validate product performance.
  • Help develop and improve hardware, software, or automation tools used for evaluation and testing.
  • Document evaluation procedures, test results, and technical findings.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes; preferred items listed separately.

  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical or computer engineering principles.
  • Basic understanding of analog and digital circuits and test methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and organize technical measurement data.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Exposure to programming, scripting, or automation tools such as Python, LabVIEW, C/C++, or similar technologies.
  • Previous experience in design evaluation, validation, or test engineering roles.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. New graduates are welcome. The posting does not specify certifications or an explicit "equivalent experience" clause.
