Job Title
Assistant Manager, Analog Engineering (f/m/d)
Role Summary
Lead a team of analog engineers responsible for designing and verifying CMOS analog blocks for custom ASICs. Drive full-chip projects from specification through production ramp, oversee layout and silicon bring-up, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet performance, area, power and schedule targets.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 8+ years of relevant analogue circuit design experience.
Responsibilities
The role includes technical leadership, people management, project delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor and recruit analog engineering staff; manage performance and development.
- Specify, design and verify analog circuit blocks (amplifiers, oscillators, LDOs, comparators, references/biasing, PMIC and audio sub-blocks).
- Drive full-chip projects: define strategy, coordinate analogue/digital leads, and meet tape-out milestones.
- Oversee layout quality, documentation, and alignment with DFT strategy.
- Manage silicon debugging, characterization, and support test development and production ramp.
- Implement improvements to design methodologies and working practices to reduce cost and time to tape-out.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- Hands-on experience designing and verifying analogue circuit blocks across mixed-signal ASICs.
- Proficiency with EDA tools, particularly the Cadence design environment.
- Chip-level verification experience, including AMS and DMS.
- Proven experience managing analogue engineering teams (recruitment, mentoring, performance management) and delivering projects on schedule.
- Project management skills: resource allocation, milestone tracking, and issue resolution (including silicon bugs).
- Strong verbal and written English communication; effective in multi-site, multicultural teams.
- Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
Education Requirements
Degree-level qualification in Electronics/Microelectronics Engineering or a related discipline.
