Assembly and Test NPI Integrator
Role Summary
Responsible for coordinating and executing New Product Introduction (NPI) activities at the Kulim Assembly and Test manufacturing facility. Serves as the primary integrator across engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain to move products from engineering builds into high-volume manufacturing.
Focus on planning execution, ensuring manufacturing readiness, resolving technical and process issues, and meeting schedule, quality and volume targets.
Experience Level
Mid-level β minimum 5 years relevant experience in NPI, manufacturing, technology transfer, or related engineering roles.
Responsibilities
Key duties include planning, coordinating and tracking NPI execution and readiness.
- Develop and manage detailed NPI execution plans and schedules, including task breakdown, dependencies and estimates.
- Act as the primary coordination point for NPI build execution; engage cross-functional teams to enable product startup.
- Track and publish performance versus schedule and ensure achievement of critical success indicators (CSIs).
- Coordinate manufacturing readiness: system setup, process flow, material readiness and capacity for NPI builds and data collection.
- Identify product and process challenges; lead structured root cause analysis and coordinate corrective and mitigation actions.
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) alignment and support technical resolution with subject-matter experts.
- Document NPI deliverables (process flow, routing, BOM, qualification artifacts) and support factory certification preparation.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for successful NPI delivery; PMP listed as nice-to-have.
- Minimum 5 years experience in NPI, manufacturing, technology transfer, or related engineering roles.
- Knowledge of assembly and/or test processes, transfer methodologies, and statistical data analysis.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and project coordination skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead investigations, perform structured root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution across functions.
- Experience preparing qualification documentation and supporting factory certification activities.
- Nice-to-have: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
