Job Title

ASPICE Specialist (Automotive SPICE)

Role Summary

Lead the definition, implementation and assessment of ASPICE processes for semiconductor development in an automotive functional-safety environment. Collaborate with engineering teams, safety, OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers to ensure ASPICE Level 2/3 compliance and audit readiness.

Experience Level

Senior — requires significant domain experience; the role specifies 10+ years in semiconductor development, particularly Automotive ICs.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Define, tailor and deploy ASPICE-compliant processes for requirements, architecture, design, verification, validation, change and configuration management.
  • Establish and maintain process documentation, templates, guidelines and ASPICE work products; ensure bidirectional traceability across system, safety, hardware, software and test artifacts.
  • Prepare projects for ASPICE Level 2/3 assessments and support internal and external audits, including evidence generation, gap analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Map and integrate ASPICE processes with the ISO 26262 functional-safety lifecycle and support confirmation measures and Freedom from Interference (FFI) practices.
  • Coach and mentor engineering teams to drive process adoption, discipline and continuous improvement across projects.
  • Support selection and use of toolchains for requirements management, safety analysis, traceability and verification work products.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 10+ years of semiconductor development experience, specifically with Automotive ICs.
  • Hands-on experience implementing ASPICE process groups (SYS.1–SYS.5, SWE.1–SWE.6, SUP.1–SUP.10, MAN.3/MAN.5) and capability level 2 & 3 practices.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with ISO 26262 (Parts 2–11) and aligning safety requirements to development processes.
  • Proven experience preparing for ASPICE Level 2/3 assessments and supporting internal/external audits; able to generate evidence and drive corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama or Polarion and with safety-analysis tooling.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with OEMs, Tier‑1s, certification bodies and cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Background in digital/analog/mixed-signal SoC design.
  • Experience with cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434) and external assessor engagement (TÜV, Exida, UL).
  • Familiarity with automotive quality and manufacturing standards (IATF 16949, AEC‑Q100, PPAP, APQP).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
