QualcommJob Title
ASICS Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the ASICS verification team to plan and execute pre-silicon verification for digital power IPs through tape-out and post-silicon support. The role focuses on testbench development, coverage and assertion development, formal property checking, power-aware UPF verification, and automation to improve verification efficiency.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Minimum 2+ years of ASIC design/verification experience; candidates with ~6+ years and deeper RTL/SystemVerilog/UVM expertise are preferred.
Responsibilities
The engineer will own verification activities for digital power blocks across the full verification lifecycle.
- Plan and execute pre-silicon verification for digital power IPs.
- Develop block-level testbenches using advanced methodologies (e.g., SystemVerilog/UVM).
- Create functional coverage models and assertion models; perform formal property checking.
- Implement power-aware UPF verification flows and methodologies.
- Develop automation and scripting to improve verification efficiency and regression throughput.
- Provide support for integration and post-silicon validation as needed.
Requirements
Essential technical skills and experience required; preferred items listed separately.
- 2+ years of experience with ASIC design and verification tools, techniques, and methodology.
- Experience in testbench development and verification planning for digital IP blocks.
- Familiarity with coverage-driven verification and assertion-based verification principles.
- Experience with scripting or automation to support verification flows (e.g., Python, Perl) is expected.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team and support post-silicon debug and integration activities.
- Nice-to-have: experience with AMBA protocols (AXI/AHB/APB), formal verification tools, and strong C/C++ knowledge for verification environments.
