Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer, Memory Management - New College Grad 2027

Role Summary

Entry-level verification role on the Memory Management Unit (MMU) team responsible for verifying NVIDIA GPU designs. You will develop testbenches and verification infrastructure, implement test and coverage plans, and collaborate with architects, designers and software engineers across sites.

Experience Level

Entry-level - new college graduate (class of 2027). Suitable for recent graduates or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focused on functional verification of the MMU and related memory subsystems.

  • Define verification scope and implement verification plans and coverage goals.
  • Develop and maintain verification infrastructure: testbenches, BFMs, monitors, checkers.
  • Create reusable verification components and test cases; drive coverage closure.
  • Perform debug and root-cause analysis using simulation and debug tools.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers and software engineers to validate design intent and fixes.
  • Contribute to methodology and toolchain improvements for the verification flow.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Exposure to computer architecture and ASIC design and verification methodology.
  • Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and C and/or C++.
  • Experience with test planning, coverage closure, constrained-random testing, and functional coverage.
  • Familiarity with assertion-based verification and object-oriented verification concepts.
  • Exposure to commercial simulators (e.g., VCS, IES) and debug tools (e.g., Debussy, GDB).
  • Good debugging, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of memory subsystem micro-architecture, cache topologies, memory management and interconnects.
  • Experience with UVM, scoreboards, semiformal verification (SFV), or assertion-based methodologies.
  • Scripting with Python or Perl.

Education Requirements

Pursuing or recently completed a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field - or equivalent practical experience.
