Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Develop tools, infrastructure, and test frameworks for SoC verification across RTL simulation, C-models, emulation, FPGA, and silicon. Work on boot, security, and IP coordination for NVIDIA Tegra-class SoCs within the SoC Verification/Emulation Infrastructure and test-frameworks team.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” 0–2 years of professional experience expected.

Responsibilities

Deliver and maintain verification and bring-up tooling that enables pre-silicon and post-silicon validation across multiple platforms.

  • Build tools, infrastructure, and test frameworks for RTL-simulations, C-simulations, emulation, FPGA, and silicon.
  • Analyze Tegra/SoC system architecture, focusing on IPs involved in boot and security flows.
  • Provide access to registers, memory, DMA engines and other hardware features for design and verification teams.
  • Enable test reuse across platforms (RTL, models, emulation, silicon) and integrate platform-specific bring-up features.
  • Develop silicon bring-up utilities (FUSE, ATE, security, flash/DMA, board I2C, USB debug devices).
  • Assess and develop C-model or RTL-simulation capabilities to validate features before silicon availability.
  • Collaborate with design and verification engineers to ensure test coverage and tooling quality.

Requirements

Key technical skills and abilities required for daily work.

  • Must-have: Proficient programmer in C, C++, and Python.
  • Must-have: Strong understanding of SoC and system architecture and how devices (DMA, interrupt engines, CPU, boot devices, MMU/IOMMU) function.
  • Must-have: Operating system and device-driver concepts; ability to write bare-metal (no-OS) test code that runs on SoC.
  • Must-have: Good software engineering practices: writing scalable, maintainable code and working within development lifecycles.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with silicon bring-up and enabling emulation/FPGA test frameworks.
  • Nice-to-have: Exposure to testbench architectures (C++ testbenches, SystemVerilog/UVM).
  • Nice-to-have: Verilog/SystemVerilog coding skills.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. The posting indicates 0–2 years of experience.
