Job Title
ASIC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Develop and maintain chip-level (SoC) verification environments for advanced CSG switch products in the AI network infrastructure team. Collaborate with architecture, microarchitecture and design teams to drive test-plan development and deliver end-to-end verification and coverage closure.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires 8+ years of verification experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver verification solutions across block and top-level integration and close feature-level verification objectives.
- Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments.
- Define and execute test plans with Arch/uArch/Design teams and manage feature closure across blocks and top level.
- Perform coverage-driven verification, gate-level simulations, and end-to-end verification cycles.
- Run and debug co-simulation (HW/SW) flows and integration scenarios.
- Use simulation and waveform-debug tools to isolate issues and verify fixes.
- Support testbench acceleration, emulation platforms, and ATE flows as required.
- Analyze system and network topology to validate protocol and interconnect behavior.
Requirements
Key technical skills and exposures required or preferred.
-
Must-have: Extensive SoC/chip-level verification experience and strong SystemVerilog/UVM expertise.
-
Must-have: 8+ years of relevant verification experience focused on SoC or complex ASIC projects.
-
Must-have: Scripting experience (Perl, Python, sed/awk).
-
Must-have: Experience with co-simulation (HW/SW) flows and debugging integration issues.
-
Must-have: Experience with simulation tools (for example VCS), waveform debugging (for example Verdi), coverage-driven methodology and gate-level simulation.
-
Nice-to-have: Knowledge of networking protocols (L2/L3/L4, 1588TS, UEC).
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with high-speed protocols (PCIe, Ethernet, AXI4.0) and chip interconnect/testability functions (JTAG, I2C, PLLs).
-
Nice-to-have: Exposure to formal tools (e.g., Jasper), ATE, and testbench accelerators/emulation platforms.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree listed in the posting. No specific field of study was specified in the source.
