ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work on verification for next-generation SoC designs for a major network manufacturer. Responsible for building UVM-based verification environments, defining block- and system-level verification plans, and driving debug to achieve first-time-right silicon. This is a 1-year contract (extendable).

Experience Level

Mid-level: 5–12 years of industry experience expected.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain UVM-based verification environments for block and system verification.
• Create and execute comprehensive verification plans and testbenches.
• Design verification components such as assertions, traffic generators, agents, and scoreboards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define verification requirements and evaluate design testability.
• Lead debug and root-cause analysis across simulation, timing, and gate-level environments.
• Implement automation and scripting to improve verification efficiency.
• Support post-silicon bring-up with firmware and diagnostics.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills:

• 5–12 years experience in ASIC/SoC verification with UVM-based testbench development.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog and verification methodologies from block to system level.
• Experience developing verification plans and infrastructure; strong debug skills.
• Timing and gate-level simulation experience.
• C programming for firmware used in post-silicon bring-up.
• Experience with scripting/automation (Python or Perl).
• Onsite availability in Allentown, PA.
• Nice-to-have: formal verification techniques and end-to-end checking.
• Nice-to-have: high-speed serial protocols (UCIe, PCIe) and analog debug (DAC/ADC, calibrations).
• Nice-to-have: experience with AI-based CAD efficiency initiatives.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is specified; the posting also references bachelor's/master's degrees in electrical or communications engineering.
