Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for planning and implementing IP/cluster/SoC functional verification for NVIDIA Graphics Processors and Tegra SoCs. Work includes creating regression plans, driving functional and code coverage closure, performing pre-silicon validation (simulations, XPROP, GLS), and supporting post-silicon debug.

The role requires close collaboration with hardware architects, designers, performance verification, FPGA and software teams to ensure RTL correctness and software testability.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career. Typically requires at least 2 years of relevant design or verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own ASIC verification for complex RTL IP/cluster blocks.
  • Develop and execute regression plans and functional coverage strategies.
  • Collaborate with architects and designers to validate implementation choices.
  • Coordinate with performance verification and formal teams to augment verification.
  • Enable FPGA and software teams to verify software stacks against hardware.
  • Participate in post-silicon validation and debug activities.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications.

  • Must-have: At least 2 years of design or verification experience on ASIC projects; hands-on ASIC verification experience for complex design units.
  • Must-have: Experience with simulation and debug tools (e.g., VCS or equivalent simulators; debug tools such as Debussy, GDB).
  • Must-have: Practical experience verifying RTL and delivering coverage/closure-driven regressions.
  • Nice-to-have: Exposure to SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification methodologies.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience verifying memory controllers or IP/clusters with memory access.
  • Nice-to-have: Scripting skills (Python, Perl, shell) and strong debugging/problem-solving ability.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

BS or MS (or equivalent practical experience) is acceptable. The posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
