Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's verification team to verify SoCs and GPUs, with emphasis on memory subsystem units. The role focuses on defining verification scope, developing verification infrastructure, and ensuring design quality across multiple product lines.

The engineer will work closely with architects, designers, and software engineers across sites to deliver robust, reusable verification solutions.

Experience Level

Mid-level — 2+ years of relevant work or research experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification for complex silicon blocks and improving verification infrastructure.

  • Define verification scope and create verification plans for memory subsystem units and related blocks.
  • Develop and maintain reusable verification components and infrastructure.
  • Implement verification using random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertion-based techniques.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and software teams across multiple sites.
  • Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, and issue triage for design and verification failures.
  • Contribute to verification methodology and flow improvements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Strong background in verification methodology and building reusable verification components.
  • Experience with coverage-driven verification, random stimulus, and assertion-based verification.
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming with C++ and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Familiarity with common EDA and debug tools (examples: VCS, Debussy, GDB) and UVM-based flows.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate across teams and locations.
  • Nice-to-have: prior experience verifying memory subsystems, SoCs, or GPU-related blocks.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering — or equivalent practical experience.
