Job Title

ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Verify SoC and GPU ASIC designs by validating design, architecture and micro-architecture and by developing verification infrastructure for memory subsystem units. Work on the GPU ASIC verification team and collaborate with architects, RTL designers, software engineers and other stakeholders across sites.

Primary mission: define verification scope, implement advanced verification methodologies, and ensure design correctness through reusable verification components and systematic validation.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires 2+ years of relevant work or research experience.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute verification activities and contribute to verification infrastructure and methodology.

  • Define verification scope and develop verification plans for assigned IP/subsystems (including memory subsystem units).
  • Design, implement, and maintain reusable verification components and infrastructure.
  • Create and run testbenches using random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertions.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, software, and validation teams across sites to meet verification goals.
  • Debug failures, root-cause issues, and drive bug resolution.
  • Document verification strategies, results, and coverage metrics.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Strong experience with verification methodology and building reusable verification components.
  • Experience with random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertion-based verification techniques.
  • Fluency in object-oriented programming with C++ and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Familiarity with simulators and debug tools (e.g., VCS or equivalent, Debussy, GDB) and methodologies such as UVM or equivalent.
  • Strong debugging ability, problem-solving skills, and clear written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-have:

  • Prior verification experience with high-speed I/O protocols or memory coherence.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering — or equivalent practical experience.
