ASIC Timing and Methodology Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for static timing analysis (STA), sign-off methodology and timing closure for SoC and block/IP designs across Mobile, Compute, Automotive and IoT products at advanced process nodes (5nm, 4nm and beyond).
Work with physical design, CAD, IP and design-technology teams to develop and validate timing flows, perform SPICE vs STA correlation, and drive timing sign-off and ECO activities.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform STA and timing sign-off for blocks and full SoCs using PrimeTime/PT-SI, Tempus or equivalent tools.
- Execute SPICE simulations (HSPICE / Finesim / AFS / Spectre / Infinisim) for PVT-corner validation and STA vs SPICE correlation.
- Develop, validate and maintain timing flows, scripts and tool integrations for advanced process nodes.
- Collaborate with physical design, CAD, IP and design-technology teams to resolve timing issues and implement ECOs.
- Analyze complex timing paths (digital, analog, mixed-signal) and provide constraint and closure solutions.
- Support process bring-up from PDK to production and improve timing convergence, PPA and yield.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Hands-on STA/sign-off experience with PrimeTime/PT-SI, Tempus or comparable timing tools.
- Experience running and analyzing SPICE-level simulations for PVT corners and correlation with STA.
- Strong scripting/programming skills: Python, Perl, TCL, Unix shell; C/C++ is a plus.
- Solid understanding of RTL-to-GDS digital flow, timing constraints, and ECO flow.
- Experience working on advanced process technologies (5nm/4nm) and timing closure challenges.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with ML modeling for EDA flows.
- Experience with tools such as Genus/Oasis, ICC2/Fusion/Innovus/Aprisa, RedHawk/SeaHawk/Voltus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
