Role Summary

Qualcomm seeks an ASIC Edge AI Systems Engineer to develop next generation Edge AI subsystems and platforms. This role involves system architecture definition to support low power Edge AI subsystems across mobile, XR, compute, and automotive products.

Experience Level

Mid-level, requiring 5+ years of ASIC design or verification experience.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

• Capture detailed technology requirements and oversee hardware architecture for various Edge AI products.
• Utilize advanced problem solving to resolve complex architecture, design, or verification issues.
• Write technical documentation and provide expertise for design/project reviews.
• Support dependent system teams implementing Edge AI platform solutions.
• Act as a technology lead for projects and manage team deliverables.
• Develop proposals addressing system Edge-AI requirements using knowledge in DSP and machine learning.
• Author subsystem hardware specifications and drive system optimization.
• Collaborate with multiple system teams and support post-silicon commercialization.
• Define and patent novel architectures.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

• 5+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred qualifications include:

• 8+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related work.
• Experience with architecture and design tools.
• Experience with scripting tools and programming languages.
• Experience in design verification methods.
• Proven interaction with senior leadership.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field; or Master's degree with 4+ years; or PhD with 3+ years in related work experience.
