ASIC/RTL Design Engineer II
Role Summary
Onsite role in San Jose responsible for RTL design and implementation of advanced SoC ASICs. The engineer will work across chip definition, micro-architecture, RTL implementation, verification, synthesis, timing closure and integration with physical design, software, and silicon bring-up teams.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead or participate in RTL design and implementation for SoC projects.
- Define chip-level requirements, develop architecture and micro-architectural specifications.
- Translate micro-architectural specs into RTL; perform verification, emulation, and debug.
- Support synthesis and timing closure and coordinate with physical implementation teams.
- Integrate IP and interfaces and collaborate with software and silicon bring-up teams.
- Work with IP such as ARM cores, Ethernet, DDR, DMA, PCIe, SATA and internal IP blocks.

Must-have:
- Hands-on experience with industry ASIC design flow including RTL coding, debugging and verification.
- Experience supporting synthesis and timing closure for digital ASICs.
- Familiarity with ARM cores and common I/O interfaces (Ethernet, DDR, DMA, PCIe, SATA).
- Ability to author micro-architectural specifications and convert them into RTL implementations.
- Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to collaborate across physical design, software, and bring-up teams.
Nice-to-have:
- SoC architecture experience and experience with emulation and silicon debug.
- Technical leadership or prior lead responsibilities on ASIC projects.
