Role Summary
Senior engineer responsible for physical implementation of ASIC/SoC blocks and full-chip flows, including floorplanning, placement, routing and timing closure. Works with SoC architects, RTL designers, verification, DFT and tapeout teams to deliver manufacturable silicon.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Drive RTL-to-GDSII physical implementation: floorplan, placement, clock-tree synthesis, routing, and ECOs.
- Perform static timing analysis, timing closure and signoff-level correlation with backend teams.
- Implement RTL and ECO changes to meet timing, power, and area targets; manage ECO flow into tapeout.
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, verification, DFT, mask/MPW teams and foundry partners.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and flows to improve productivity and quality.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior physical-design engineers.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Proven experience in ASIC physical design and full-chip P&R flows for complex SoC designs.
- Hands-on experience with commercial place-and-route and STA tools and signoff methodologies.
- Strong scripting skills (Tcl, Python, Perl or similar) for flow automation and debug.
- Experience troubleshooting timing, signal integrity, congestion and ECO issues.
- Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and drive deliverables to tapeout.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with advanced process nodes (7nm/5nm/3nm) and low-power design techniques.
- Background with physical verification, DFT, LVS/DRC flows and foundry interactions.
- Prior leadership or technical lead experience on large SoC projects.
