ASIC Digital Design Staff Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining embedded firmware for microprocessors used in SerDes and PHY IP products. The role leads validation planning, test automation, CI/CD integration, and cross-site collaboration to ensure reliable silicon bring-up and product delivery.

Senior level. Guidance: 3+ years of professional experience in embedded firmware development and validation.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop, validate, and maintain firmware for embedded microprocessors in SerDes and PHY products.
- Design, implement, and test C/C++ functions and applications following code review, unit testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Lead execution of validation plans: test case development, test automation, coverage analysis, and unit testing.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and automated test frameworks.
- Track and report process adoption and quality metrics across firmware projects using tracking tools and dashboards.
- Maintain clear project documentation and ensure traceability and consistent standards.
- Collaborate with firmware and hardware teams across multiple sites for integration, debugging, silicon bring-up, and root-cause analysis.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve delivery cycles.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred technical skills:

Must-have: Expert-level programming in C/C++ and strong experience in embedded firmware development and validation.

Must-have: Experience with CI/CD, test automation, and unit-testing frameworks (experience with Jenkins expected).

Must-have: Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or Tcl).

Must-have: Experience using JIRA and Confluence for tracking, dashboards, and documentation; strong project tracking and reporting skills.

Must-have: Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills; experience supporting silicon bring-up and root-cause analysis.

Nice-to-have: Experience with digital logic design, simulation, and debug (Verilog/SystemVerilog).

Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or MSEE) was specified.
