Role Summary

Senior staff engineer responsible for digital RTL design and delivery for ASIC projects based in Yerevan. The role works with cross-functional teams (verification, physical design, firmware, and system architects) to implement, optimize, and deliver production-quality silicon blocks.

Primary focus is on RTL design, integration, timing and area optimization, and supporting silicon bring-up and releases.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead RTL design and implementation of complex digital blocks for ASICs.
• Collaborate with verification, synthesis, place-and-route, and system teams to ensure timely delivery and silicon correctness.
• Perform code reviews, drive design reviews, and enforce coding and design quality.
• Optimize designs for timing, area, and power; guide trade-off decisions with stakeholders.
• Support lab bring-up, debug silicon issues, and provide guidance during post-silicon validation.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and contribute to team process improvements.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical requirements:

• Must-have: Experience with digital ASIC RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog and familiarity with synthesis and timing closure flows.
• Must-have: Practical experience collaborating with verification and physical design teams on ASIC projects.
• Must-have: Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for pre- and post-silicon issues.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with low-power design techniques, scripting for automation (Tcl, Python), and exposure to EDA tools and flows.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience in a staff or technical lead role mentoring engineers.
