ASIC Digital Design Senior Staff Engineer
Role Summary
Senior technical leader responsible for driving the design, delivery, and productization of SERDES PHY digital IP. Lead and mentor an engineering team and coordinate across architecture, verification, physical implementation, and firmware to meet timing, performance, and power targets.

Senior-level. The role expects 8+ years of complex technical development experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on end-to-end digital design and team leadership for SERDES PHY IP.
- Plan, schedule, and drive all phases of SERDES PHY digital design from specification through productization and customer support.
- Collaborate with architects, verification, physical implementation, and firmware teams to deliver complete IP products.
- Ensure designs meet timing, performance, power, and quality targets across multiple cycles.
- Mentor, develop, and grow engineering team members; promote technical excellence and accountability.
- Support customers during IP integration and resolve technical challenges related to SoC integration.
- Improve and maintain robust design and verification flows.
Requirements
Essential technical skills and experience required for the role.
- 8+ years of complex digital development experience (senior contributor/lead level).
- Proficiency in modeling and synthesizable Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Strong experience with front-end flows: linting, synthesis, static timing analysis (STA), CDC/RDC, and DFT.
- Experience with power optimization techniques in digital design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to lead projects and mentor engineers.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with PCIe and Ethernet standards.
Education Requirements
