Role Summary
Lead DFT (Design-for-Testability) activities for complex ASIC projects, owning scan insertion, ATPG flows, and scan STA to ensure robust test coverage and manufacturability. Work within a DFT engineering team and collaborate closely with RTL, verification, and cross-functional groups to integrate DFT requirements early and improve automation and flows.
This role contributes to silicon validation, reliability, and time-to-market improvements for ASICs used in AI, automotive, and related systems.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include ownership of DFT flow execution, cross-team collaboration, and continuous improvement of automation and methodologies.
- Lead and execute scan insertion and ATPG flows for complex ASIC designs.
- Perform scan static timing analysis (scan STA) and validate timing closure for test paths.
- Integrate DFT requirements with RTL and verification teams early in the design cycle.
- Analyze and resolve DFT-related issues using industry tools (e.g., Spyglass DFT).
- Develop and improve automation scripts and design/test flows to reduce turnaround time.
- Define and promote best practices for DFT methodologies across projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and share DFT expertise with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Must-have skills and technologies required to perform the role:
- 3–10 years hands-on experience in DFT methodologies, including scan insertion and ATPG for ASIC designs.
- Proficiency with industry EDA DFT tools such as Spyglass DFT and scan STA analysis suites.
- Strong understanding of digital logic design, RTL coding, and verification principles.
- Experience debugging and resolving DFT issues across project phases.
- Scripting skills for automation (TCL, Perl, Python).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience improving automation and developing robust, repeatable DFT flows at scale.
