Job Title

ASIC Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Design and verify high-throughput Ethernet and high-speed communication silicon for data center and cloud products. Work with a global design and architecture team to deliver front-end RTL, verification, synthesis, and silicon validation for next-generation devices.

Experience Level

Senior - typically requires multiple years of industry experience (expectation: mid-to-senior level expertise in ASIC design and verification).

Responsibilities

Deliver front-end design and verification tasks and provide technical leadership on complex silicon projects.

• Develop leadership silicon technology targeting data center and cloud operators.
• Collaborate with global design and architecture teams to define device architecture and implementation strategy.
• Perform front-end work: architecture definition, RTL coding, simulation, and verification.
• Support synthesis, timing closure, and silicon validation activities.
• Provide technical leadership and drive design evolution across multiple product generations.

Requirements

Core technical skills and practical experience required or strongly preferred.

• Must-have: Hands-on experience with the ASIC design flow and RTL design/verification.
• Must-have: Practical experience in high-speed communication chip architecture and RTL implementation.
• Must-have: Strong communication and documentation skills; effective team collaboration.
• Must-have: Scripting ability in Python or Perl for automation and verification tasks.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Ethernet controllers or PCIe protocols.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with synthesis, timing closure, and silicon bring-up/validation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with ~8 years industry experience, or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with ~6 years industry experience. Degrees in related electrical/technical fields are relevant when combined with equivalent industry experience.
