Role Summary
Join Apple's Silicon Engineering Group as an ASIC Design Engineer on the ANE DMA Design team. You will design and implement DMA subsystems that move data efficiently for on-device AI, working with architecture, implementation, and verification teams across the design cycle.

Responsibilities
Deliver DMA RTL and front-end implementation from specification through tapeout and ensure functional correctness with verification teams.
- Design DMA subsystem blocks from microarchitecture specification through tapeout.
- Write well-parameterized RTL for synthesis, timing closure, and low power.
- Perform front-end implementation tasks: synthesis, timing closure, area and power analysis, linting, and logic equivalence checks.
- Collaborate with designers and architecture teams to define micro-architectural requirements.
- Work with design verification teams to review test plans, debug failures, and ensure functional correctness.
Requirements
Core technical skills required for the role.
- Familiarity with Verilog or SystemVerilog and digital design fundamentals.
- Exposure to on-chip bus protocols such as AMBA (AXI, AHB, APB).
- Understanding of system-level SoC data movement and memory system concepts.
- Background or experience in high-bandwidth domains (networking, image processing, or AI/ML).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl) for design automation.
- Strong technical writing skills and proactive communication in design reviews.
Education Requirements
