Responsibilities
The role focuses on micro-architecture, RTL development, verification collaboration, and silicon bring-up.
- Work with system architects to capture functional and performance requirements for owned units/features.
- Define micro-architecture and develop RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) for assigned units or features.
- Collaborate with verification and physical design teams to ensure accurate verification and implementation.
- Lead or support silicon bring-up with post-silicon validation and software teams.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers on design and implementation tasks.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 3+ years experience in ASIC design and implementation of complex features or units.
- Proven expertise in micro-architecture definition and RTL coding using Verilog or SystemVerilog.
- Experience with synthesis, linting, simulation tools (e.g., VCS or equivalent), and hardware debug tools (e.g., Debussy, GDB).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; scripting knowledge for automation and debug tasks.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Nice-to-have: experience with memory controllers, MMU, interconnects, and cache controller design.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree (BS/MS) or equivalent practical experience. No specific field of study was specified in the posting.
