Role Summary

The NVIDIA GPU clocks group is seeking a Senior ASIC Design Engineer to join their team. The group is responsible for all aspects of GPU clocking, working closely with the frontend design and backend teams to meet the clocking requirements of various products, including consumer graphics and self-driving cars.

Experience Level

Senior Level. 2+ years of relevant work experience required.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with architects, ASIC designers, and verification engineers to design high frequency and low power clocks.
  • Enhancing in-house flows to ensure the quality of clocks RTL and netlist.
  • Delivering clock information to SOC verification, timing, and DFT teams.
  • Using Perl/Python for productivity improvements.
  • Debugging GPU clock silicon issues in new products.

Requirements

Must-have skills and qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; MS preferred.
  • 2+ years of meaningful work experience.
  • Experience in RTL design (Verilog), verification, and logic synthesis.
  • Strong coding skills in Perl or Python.
  • Understanding of sub-micron silicon issues like noise and cross-talk.
  • DFT knowledge and experience in implementing on-chip clocking networks are desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.

Education Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience; MS preferred.
