ASIC Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design, verify, and document ASIC/IP (block and SoC) components for high-performance, low-power products. The role supports architecture, implementation, and validation efforts within an ASIC engineering team and collaborates with cross-functional groups to meet system requirements.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Primary duties include participating in ASIC/IP design and supporting the implementation flow from specification through tape-out.
- Contribute to defining, modeling, and designing digital and/or analog IP blocks and SoC components.
- Help create architectures, circuit specifications, logic designs, and system simulations from system-level requirements.
- Support synthesis, place-and-route, timing and power analysis, and verification flows (RTL-to-GDS and custom layout flows).
- Use EDA and design tools (e.g., RTL flows, Virtuoso) to implement parts of a block/SoC or IC package.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop implementation strategies that meet customer and system needs.
- Write technical documentation for EDA/IP/ASIC projects and assist in validation and verification activities.

- Must-have: Experience with architecture and design tools (example: RTL-to-GDS flow); basic knowledge of design verification methods.
- Must-have: Experience with scripting or programming languages for automation and tool integration.
- Must-have: Ability to work under supervision, communicate technical facts clearly in writing and verbally, and follow multi-step engineering tasks.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Virtuoso/custom layout flow, timing and power optimization, or system-level simulation.
- Nice-to-have: Prior ASIC/IP project exposure and experience producing technical documentation for EDA/ASIC projects.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. The posting allows related technical fields.
